  • jeeze dude, you are way out there. You need to understand target focus training and involuntary spinal reflex. Better yet, hope you don't put your theory to the test.

  • @MrOlioable I understand more than you think. TFT is OKAY... I take it that you don't like the fact that the likelihiood of shooting someone where you want is very difficult. Most people don't like hearing the truth because they want to hang onto what makes them feel good. BTW... Most of what I said came from the FBI's "experts". Shot placement is theory at best. I don't care what anyone says or what school teaches what.

  • Do you REALLY think that you will be a better shot? Even so, the likelihood of you taking the threat(s) immediately out of the fight are SLIM at best. So, is the hit ratio really the issue? NO! It IS the ineffectiveness of the handgun. AND, most people don't practice shooting so they are in the same "boat" as the police. So, the "average" hit ratio is just that.

  • @9mmParabellum0321 Who is? Who is a gunfighter? A competition shooter that is fast and accurate but has never performed under the chaos and dread of a real world threat trying to kill him? A soldier who wears body armor and uses an assault rifle as a primary weapon rather than a comparatively enemic pistol ? "Gunfighter" is relative and misused.

  • This is by far the absolute best commentary on handgun incapacitation data I have heard to date. This very accurate data provided by the FBI. Well done Brian.

  • THIS IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH. PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE.

  • i need a bigger caliber which i can still control its recoil like the .45 which i can shoot it rapid fire but can still handle its recoil. I like it because in case i can not deliver a fatal shot on the center mass or head but just on the peripherals or outside the T-factor at least i have a big bullet that may create a big hole causing bigger damage.

  • Verbatum

  • finally, a common sense source that puts to bed all this bullshit that people flaunt when defending the lack of stopping power from their high capacity 9mms. "dude its all about shot placement therefore a 9mm is somehow just as a effective as a .45"

NO!!!!, chose the caliber you shoot the best, train hard, and heaven forbid if you have to shoot for your life, you'll be better enough then the other guy to live to tell about it.

  • I understand everything he is saying however, I guess using officers is the best bet but most do not train they practice about 2days to a week before qualification but if they really trained those stats would be better. Officers are not gun fighters!
