In Phnom Penh, the former commander of the Khmer Rouge's main torture facility has told a United Nations-backed genocide tribunal that he takes responsibility for the torture and execution of thousands of Cambodians. Kaing Guek Eav, also known as Duch, apologized for his role in one of the most brutal mass killings in decades. Leta Hong Fincher has more.
It's been over 40 years. Pending 1 conviction only.

he deserves to die but putting a bullet in his head wouldn't be much as many people have been tortured so horribly it couldn't compare to a bullet or an injection that would kill him. i hope god will punish him for what he has done so many innocent people have died.

its too late to appologize. The millions of people, young boys, women, children who apologized after being tortured by him didnt get spared. Its a mockery to their souls that he is pardoned.
