  • I have it in black... Is the cover changable?

  • So what do you do with all the stuff you review? Maybe you can give it to me.... seriously. I'm a kid and I don't have that much money so... lol jk =)

  • @TheMaron18 .o.

  • @Hoopermazing Just in case it wasn't clear in my previous reply, the wubi-install thing installs a dual boot configuration from within WinXP. When you reboot, you have the choice of either Jolicloud or WinXP. It works so well, that I'm probably going to do a regular dual boot install (so that I can add enough swap space to support full hibernation instead of just suspend.)

    Just in case:

suspend = save to RAM and still uses some power

hibernation = save to HD, and powers down completely

  • @RobbedTheBank You might be interested to know that I just installed Wubi-installed Jolicloud Linux on my NB305-N310, and it's much much much snappier than WinXP. It works astoundingly well for the things people use Netbooks for. The only snafu I ran into was getting suspend to work. I was able to fix it by adding a couple of lines to the "/boot/grub/menu.lst" file. Et voilà, it now works like a charm. I don't know how the battery life will compare, but I'll keep you posted.

  • @Hoopermazing Noooo! And mine just arrived today! Still I don't mid because from what Ive seen of it its a good piece of kit, and I bought it off amazon where it was randomly an amazing low price. DDR3 RAM.... Looks like the new generation of netbooks are gonna get a whole lot better then

  • Having this netbook and played around with it, do you think spending the extra $50 for the 410 is worth it...or is the 310 just as good and gets the job done just as well ? I'm actually looking to purchase a netbook for the past 4 months now and I came down to the toshiba's, just now wondering if i should choose the 310 or the 410.

  • @RobbedTheBank Wouldn't you know that Toshiba just announced that they are developing an NB305 model that uses DDR3 RAM. You might have noticed the mention of DDR3 in the recent BiOS flash update. Unfortunately, DDR3 RAM won't fit in our netbooks. Dohhhh!

  • @Hoopermazing Thanks man

  • @LDAVINCI410 - Oh, I knew that 2 GB would work. I put 2 GB in mine the day it was delivered. I just didn't know if it was running at 800Mhz. I checked with cpu-z, and it is... It's actually 400Mhz, but since it's DDR2 RAM, it's considered as 800Mhz.
