CNN / Katrina: U.S. Military Hunting People in New Orleans

CNN Lou Dobbs: It is stated in this video that the U.S. Military was hunting people in New Orleans with Night vision and M4s. This video is from last year about a week after Katrina made landfall. In the video the guy Dobbs is talking to actually says that the troops are handling the situation in New Orleans just like they did in Afghanistan.

In honor of the 1 Year Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and to all the people who suffered through this tragedy I give this video.

As I watch the mainstream news do their gloss job over what really happened last year in New Orleans, I am posting a reality video that shows that the federal government violated the Posse Comatatus Act, which prohibits the military from civilian policing activities. As you will see the jounalist actually states that he talked to guys in the military that told him they were hunting the "bad guys" with night vision and M4s. When the military is policing the streets, no matter what the excuse, it is called a POLICE STATE. I hope everyone realizes what level this country is playing on Now. Oh, btw the Lou Dobbs' title for the segment is "The Military's Future". Here it is RIGHT IN YOUR FACE !!!

My Cranium is out of my butt and the rose-colored glass are off my eyes. I know exactly what I am talking about with the Posse Comatatus Act. Active Duty Military was prohibited from policing functions within the borders of the US. Only civilian police and National Guard can perform police functions. The National Guard can only do it during a state of emergency. The Posse Act was enacted because of the abuses of the Union Army in South after the Civil War.

Mr. Kaplan had better wake up! The military in New Orleans were not just patroling neighborhoods trying to keep the peace. They were illegally entering citizens homes and taking their legal firearms away from them. This is "OUTRAGEOUS"!!!!!!!! I am originally from New Orleans and I know it's people. Next time the military "INVADES" that city, it will be a different ballgame!!Patriot act is an act of treason. America is doomed. A police state is right around the corner. I believe that "Posse Comitatus" (the law that forbids active duty military from operating within American borders), was suspended by the Patriot act.

ray-- The national gaurd ARE military and the Posse Commitatus does apply. The gaurd are trained by the federal government and go to the same schools as regular active duty military.

Posse Comitatus does not apply to National Guard troops as they are not active military. They are state troops that have to be militarized to be used in combat overseas. Also the US military can be used to fight foreign and domestic enemies on it's home soil.

Posse Comatatus does not apply when a State of Emergency is declared when local police cannot effectively police.
