The World March for Peace and Nonviolence Brooklyn Bridge March and Press Conference at City Hall
What: Over a thousand people are marching across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall in support of the World March for Peace and Nonviolence -- a global initiative to end wars, nuclear weapons and violence.
When: Monday November 30
• 1 p.m. Brooklyn Borough Hall
1:30 to 2:45 Crossing Brooklyn Bridge
3:00 pm Press Conference on the steps of City Hall
Where: Brooklyn Borough Hall to City Hall.
Who: The team of 25 international marchers together with thousands of New Yorkers representing more than 100 cultures, including hundreds of students and teachers, religious leaders, organizations, Consuls and city officials.
Why: This historic 93-Day march, crossing the 6 continents, began in New Zealand on October 2nd, 2009 and will end on January 2nd, 2010 in Argentina involving over a million people in more than 100 countries.
