Joe the Plumber and the Mafia Media

The Media has turned on Joe. When this is not really about Joe at all, but about Obama's Socialist response.

After being used and quoted umpteen times by McCain during the last debate, it turns out that "Joe the Plumber" isn't really named Joe, isn't a real plumber, isn't anywhere NEAR able to afford the purchase of a business, that business isn't making anywhere NEAR $250,000/ a year, is making more like $40k/year and not the $250 K plus he'd like us to believe ...and has deadbeated on his own property taxes.

And somehow, all of this is "the mafia media's" fault? Stick to Israeli issues, putz.

Anyway, I have dual citizenship and I still believe in the 1st amendment, so no, i won't just stick to Israeli issues. Furthermore his name is Joe "Samuel Joseph" you putz, and he is a plumber, he just uses the license of the owner, and whether or not he would make 250k or is not the issue--the issue is Obama's desire to share the wealth. Why is it so hard for people to understand that THAT is issue.

Hey Ron, you should be a politician; you never answered my question lol. I am very upset that Joe is getting ripped apart for no logical reason but my question was: At this present time and in the near future, which of the candidates tax plan will benefit Joe? The bigger question is how many who you on this board make 250k a year? It makes no logical sense for Joe to criticize Obama plan, when it is obvious that he benefits for Obamas plan.

In politics you pay 4 what u say. When Palin referred to small towns as real America, she paid. When Biden said that it is patriotic to pay more taxes, he paid. And Obama, no matter what he would actually do, pays 4 using words that r associated w/ socialism. What has made me angry is not really what Obama said (imagine having every word that comes out of ur mouth judged) it is how the mafia media is out for Joe's blood. He is a dude who asked a question and they r turning his life upside down.

But let me honest, who here thinks that Obama is going to take away his/her money and give it to another person? I mean does anyone here make $250k a year. I like Joe the Plumber; I think he is a nice fellow, but I do not understand his logic. As things stand today he (Joe) would be better off under Obamas tax plan. I mean Joe said on ABC that he makes nowhere close to 250k and that he does not plan to buy the business anytime soon. So logically what is his problem with Obamas plan?

Your argument against redistribution of wealth would hold grounds if Obama was the first to initiate such a plan. But fact of the matter is the gov't has been redistributing wealth for years, only differing methods with each administrations. Clearly republican wants trickle down, while democrats wants bottom up. It just happens the latter approach is more convincing to voters this election year. Obama shouldn't have gone into simplification and should stick to his stump speech.

If you hate socialism, you should really hate the states of Arizona and Alaska, two states that receive more federal funds than they pay into. THAT'S SOCIALISM, tools. I'm tired of my BLUE STATE money going to support welfare RED STATES. Redistribution of wealth to RED STATE crackers is against AMERICA, according to neo-con logic. These RED STATES with their higher poverty and illiteracy rates really need to start pulling their weight and stop sucking off the rest of the country.

Yes,but someone who makes 80k pays 40% in taxes, so while it works, it is not free. And you are right, our Doctors are some of the most intelligent, well-trained ones in the world. Other differences are that Drs are not filthy rich and they don't have astronomical insurance premiums.
