Here it is, the first official Fire@Will performance ever!!!! It was two weeks before the AHStival '04 auditions and Bret and Rahman had no bassist or drummer. In came Kamal Kalifa, a cool dude who wanted to play bass. Rahman selected the song of The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go" and realizing it was an easy song that iwas in Bret's vocal range. Bret agreed and Kamal was up for anything. However, the drummer still remained in question. In came Justin Courtney, a friend of Kamal's. He came into Rahman's basement the night before the show equipped with bongos (he did not bring in his drum set) and played the hell out of them to impress the soon to be a Fire@Will boys. Dressed in ties, the performance went alright and the crowd response was tremendous even if the byos were quite nervous. In a blunder, Rahman being too smart for his own good renmaed the band Pehnomenon without the band's permission, but that's just a little quibble. This is Fire@Will at it's core.

"Where ever you go" I will make sure to be far far away and maybe I'll just shove some knives in my ears to be on the safe side.
