Step One: Check if you have both arms. If not: You are already a better guitarplayer than Ruben Tollet!

Step Two: Check if you can use both arms, if already present at all.
If not: You are already a better guitarplayer than Ruben Tollet!

Step Three: If you really want to approach Ruben Tollet's signature sound, you'll need a real transistor guitar amp. Don't bother buying a lame tube amp, everyone knows that's for losers. But...if you just buy a cheap acoustic guitar with a few strings missing...you'll get close enough.

Step Four: To actually come close to the Tollet-sound there is another important key-factor involved: Don't use bendings of the string in your solo's. Every self-respecting guitarist knows that less experienced guitarists use bendings to cover up for out-of-tune notes throughout their soloing. Just let the note sound flat and hollow, until it dies out. Do not vibrate either.
