I had the Power Glide Automatic Transmission and did a lot of expressway driving. The Power Glide only had two forward gears, Low and Drive. To enter a busy expressway, you had to floor the excelerator pedal and the engine would wind up in Low and shift into Drive with a clunk. GM later admitted they had a problem with the torque created in such expressway entrance accelerations. They gave me a good trade in on a Pontiac LeMans.

I had a 1963 Monza in 1963! I loved it. I went through 4 crank shafts in the year I owned it so, when the warranty ran out, I traded it in on a 1964 Pontiac Lemans. I still fondly remember the Monza.

I had a 1964 convertible Spyder for a few years. What a way to turn heads (and lose money). It was my fourth Vair over the years.
