  • nice fish mate are they mainly commons in your waters or do you get many mirrors.also how big is that water your fishing it looks massive.one last thing what rods are you using they seem to have alot of line rings the rods we use over here only have 7.please message me back.keep the vids coming mate well done.

  • @hobday1000

Thanks mate! Yes, mostly commons here in Canada but we do get some mirrors, how about you guys? It's size is truly impressive as many of our waters Thousands of acres.

Continued... I got a lot of questions on these rods, Basically when i started carp fishing in the 90's you couldn't really import rods at any reasonable price, so had them custom made by D&M rods on Talon blanks/hardy's guids... they limit casting but due to the number of them distribute the stress on the line evenly (i use to fish very light line) Now for my range stuff i use Shimano LC's.

  • sick fish man! slippery suckers lol awesome vid.

  • @RockySmokeySushi

They sure are! (and why i promote unhooking mats so much) It's just random footage we scratched up, real vids are coming spring/summer 2012. Thanks for the comment, nice to be part of this community.

  • Nice common !

  • @pouladia

Agree with you mate, i personally don't keep anything but if someone has to i highly recommend the smaller ones as they aren't 30+ years old and also have a lot less toxins. Yeah i'd love to check out that lake...i'll continue this convo in pm mode. Cheers for making the connection on here!

  • @Kordage

Definitely bro, its a shame to kill such old fish. I've seen alot of people ( Im not mentioning from where ) bag dozens of fish and make a meal out of them. if you wanna take fish, take the smaller one not the really big ones that have been in the waters for years and years. You should try Kachawanooka lake, it holds some massive Carp.

  • @pouladia

fished Rice lake and it's super snaggy (hence the name 'amazon complex' but give enough preparation it's possible to fish it. sounds like you had an amazing session as well! Keep those video's coming! i assume ur a proper carp angler & 100% catch and release? thats the only way to go in my opinion..these fish grow slowly and have been around too long to waste as food.
