Shepherd is pretty strong with LSU... his girlfriend goes there too. U of M has commits from Newsome and another Texan, Shavodrick Beaver, and may pick up another in the form of Tate Forcier. Don't forget about Justin Feagin either. He's sure to see a few snaps this fall.

michigan got a verbal from kevin newsome for 2009..kids a 5 star recruit and an absolute baller..id rather have him cus hes almost like pryor except hes 6'3 not 6'6

His name is Russell Shepard. He's 6'2", 185 and from Houston Cypress Ridge HS.
Shepard is ranked #3 nationally on rivals Class of '09 football players list.
If Rich Rodriguez can sign Shepard, Michigan fans will forget Terrell Pryor.

I'm picking 7-5 for the Wolverines.
It hurt not to sign Terrell Pryor, but Michigan is going after a hot shot QB from Texas( I'm not sure what his name is)that's supposed to be a smaller and faster version of Pryor. He has verbally committed to LSU, but many folks view the LSU committment as being very weak. Michigan was his second choice school on rivals.
