@webplayer7 My friend :) I hope that you know, that the baglama is an ancient / age - old instrument which was played by the turkmens or by the shamanists.

but, its anchestor its greek....
anyway all these instruments were from the area where used to live turks and greeks together

We have also baglama, tzoura, (that are more like small bouzouki) , ud..
You have saz (baglama etc).
All these came by the ancient instrument pandourida (tampouras)...greeks and turks lived together in Smyrne, Istanbul(Konstantinopolis) and other areas...

I agree, music is universal, but some cultures have embraced certain instruments more than others. In this case, keeping the above perspective in sight, it is blindness not to see that Baglama is with its blood, bone, lymph,ligament and tendons all Turkish...
