I couldn't disagree more with the first poster! In a way, everything was evened out, the balance was restored, the bad people (ie Marcus) got what was coming to them, while almost everyone else, who never really meant any harm even if the things they did were morally bad, ended up better than they started, except Gloria. A fantastic film, with a suprisingly happy ending!

This film illustrates a contrast between rich and poor families, with their differing problems. The end shows the connection between the two families, in the biological relationship between them.

Lol it seems some people dont get the ending, just because Hollywood would have everything work out perfect. Thats not how things really are. I dont see how anyone could be dissapointed in this movie its not supposed to be a feel good flick, it deals with some of the grim reality of modern life.The ending was all it could be in keeping with the style and tone of the story thats how we do things in the UK.

Wow... I hate those movies that have so much and you he thinking "okay NOW it's getting good.." Very mediocre ending "Dump" ending. lame waste of time.
