From the courts, it emerged that some of the presiding officers who signed forms 16a in the contested Juja parliamentary election in 2007 may not have been official ECK officers. This emerged during a petition by former Juja MP William Kabogo who is challenging the election of George Thuo as the area MP. Still on petitions, former Starehe MP Maina Kamanda is still leading area MP Bishop Margret Wanjiru as the recount of the votes cast in the 2007 election continues. Andrew Ochieng courts.
