@CaptainGreen2008 About the "car" exemple i'll give you a link that gives another view about how the answer can be: /watch?v=OrcWntw9juM
Of course, we will never be able to fully imagine with our limited brain what God can be, but as far as knowledge is increasing, the concept of God is being more accurate.

@CaptainGreen2008 I gess i would agree with you, but my argument can be found in the Quran concerning the big bang, "Do those who are disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were sewn together and then We unstitched them and that We made from water every living thing? So will they not have faith?" (21: 30) ( An evidence right ? )
I can agree with you that we are not sure, and we probably never will be.

@CaptainGreen2008 The best strenght is to know one's own weakness. We shouldn't underestimate the fix firm we are in, that later we won't be able to explain. There will be some set rules and we will just stop and say why this and this. The infinite regress of causes is absurd and impossible, logic always will lead us to one uncaused being that was the origin of everything.
About the exemple, science explains only how the sky is blue, but it never gives a why.
Hope you got my point.

What I try to understand is why someone who would never ever say he couldn't solve a differential equation by stating it is the will of god would defer to a god concerning other matters rather than research those matters as he would the diff eq.. I know that knowing everything is not humanly possible, but saying that god did it only defers the investigation. Example: Why is the sky blue? "God wills it" only addresses intent - which is unprovable when you invoke god, while not actually explaining

@babkrani - I will give Islam credit in that out of the Abrahamic traditions it is usually more open to scientific endeavor. However it still explains things in terms that were available in the days it was written. What they could not fully explain, such as the purpose of existence is solved by the place holder 'god did it'. This answers much, without actually adding knowledge. I wouldn't claim a problem with my car is the will of god, because we have a good working knowledge of cars. [more]

@babkrani - Nice. But arguable. Big bang happened. We can postulate that it was caused, but by what is the question. The fact that we do not know (yet if ever) does not mean it was created on purpose or that had a creating agent that is anthropomorphic. That is a big leap. I think what people see in scripture in relation to science is the ponderings of ancient people who were smart, but lacked tools to prove conjectures. They laid out these possibilities, but [More next post].

@CaptainGreen2008 The universe begun with a big bang, space and time and all the natural forces emerged at the same "time". Logically, everything that has a beginning has a cause, therefore the universe has a cause, this cause cannot be bound by thse cause, and we cannot have an infinite regress of causes because if so we won't have a universe, therefore it must be one and immaterial. And since we have a universe instead of nothing, it must have chosen it.
I agree with the last part :)
LoL at his voice.. I was almost expecting him to go "You know that novel you've been working on, that novel you've been working on for three years" while his voice became more and more high pitched.. xD
