For those of you that are having a difficult time falling asleep at night, melatonin is a natural supplement that you can take to promote sleep. In this video, I talk about how I originally thought melatonin was simply a placebo effect type product. But once I began taking 5mg of the supplement, I was able to fall asleep almost instantly.

After doing more research, I learned that you really only need to take 1mg of melatonin for it to work completely.

This review will basically answer the question, "does melatonin work?" For more information about Melatonin, you can always head over to my blog:

2. What Is Melatonin Used For?
3. Melatonin Benefits.
4. Melatonin Side Effects.

Feel free to check that article out. Thanks for viewing the video, folks. I hope this information will help you out, and understand that melatonin really does work.

  • Never take more than recommended dose and its always best to take little of something than max. Too much of anything isnt good.

  • @SuperDelta000 Sorry for the huge delay. I have been sick with cat scratch fever for 2 months. You're right. People can abuse anything. Lol. This is kind of off topic, but if someone overdosed on Advil, do you think Advil would become illegal? Lol. Gotta love America.

  • @professionalblogger you forgot to note.. NEVER take melatonin and expect to be awake at the computer LOL. I crashed and busted a keyboard which I had to replace:( hoping it never does give me the vivid dreams since I am glad to not have the gross gorey nightmares I used to have. My pain doc wants me upped to 10 mg so i am working on that REALLY slow since I am not totally used to what I am on yet.not saying it IS a wonder pill but works for me. how the HELL do i function with No pineal gland?

  • @professionalblogger yes I have read that on alot of sites, funny how it has ended my dreams which for me also having PTSD is a plus... about the drowsiness I definately hear ya! currently they have me on 6 mg (some for pain issues) and it takes me alot more caffiene to wake up, plus 2 5 hr energy drinks. heard about this 5 HTP stuff and called my healthstore about it since I am not sure I can take that with such high doses of melatonin? Wanting to try it for my anger issues and lack of energy

  • @grettagrids This is all great information. I just want to note one of the downsides, since you're noting all of the upsides. 1. You can have really vivid dreams, which can be a good or bad thing. 2. You can be really drowsy the next day, especially if you take a lot of it.

  • @RodTalon0000 I am on it the rest of my life since I don't have a pineal gland( found out by an MRI and blood tests)

  • @professionalblogger it also seems to help with muscle pains oddly enough, especially fibromyalgia, sucks having muscle pain and when the narcotics stop working, you look eslwhere. Also sucks lacking a pineal gland ( birth defect):( I wish I'd researched this stuff sooner rather then find out from many visits to endocrinologists, rhuematologists and sleep clinics where it was finally prescribed.on a last note it also seems to help some with ADHD and is prescribed by some pediatricians:)

  • @grettagrids Lol. It really does work. I'm surprised you saw that drastic of a result though. Damn. I am glad you found something that works for you. When I made this video, I never thought it was going to get this many views. Lol

  • @real2802 I didn't know melatonin did all of these things. But if you're big on melatonin, you should also checkout ginkgo biloba. Speaking of the medical industry being against things, I highly recommend checking out Run from the Cure, by Ricky Simpson. Just look it up on Youtube.

  • @negvar Yeah. Ha. Melatonin can make you feel a bit drowsy the next day. If I am in trouble, and I have to go to sleep extremely early one night, I may take 10 mg or something up there just to knock me out. The next day, I'll drink a Redbull to get the drowsiness to go away. I wouldn't recommend doing this too often. Lol. I usually just take 1mg, and I rarely drink RedBulls.

  • I love this stuff. I tend to break 3mg pills in half and I am good to go. If I take the full 3mg, I am out for 12 hours and a bit of a zombie the next day.
