I like how the movie represents that a geisha was NOT a whore.. the ''geisha whores'' came after WW2.. They could just put on some false kimono and say they were a geisha. Love the movie >w< ~

@tinyspirits I know, I still find that rather amusing too but then again, just another wonder of modern film. How it shows that the imagination isn't restricted to conjuring up stories based on our own cultures. I think the story is lovely and the film was brilliantly made!

So funny that most of this movie wasnt shot in japan and that most of the cast isnt even japanese including main characters..... Also it was written by a white guy.... I still love this movie, just funny facts about it.
