Mini Rottweiler

Why on earth would you try to make a mini rottweiler? Do you even know what the bread is used for? There is no reason what so ever that they need to be small. If someone wants a Rottweiler, buy a rottweiler. If you want something small get a damn Pug. All you are doing is selling over priced mutts to people. You are a VERY irresponsible "breeder". Those dogs don't even have Rottweiler in them. Atleast market them as something else!!!!!

Looks like a rottie cross with pug.

He is really cute. I do have a regular female rottie and she is great.
Do the minie breeds also have problems with hip displasia as the big ones do? I am just curious.

New breeds have been created for thousands of years, old ones have been going extinct for just as long. Why should we stop now and always maintain the status quo? Dog breeding should give people the type of dogs they want, and like it or not that desire changes across eras. As long as we always have dogs, are breeds really that important?
Anyway, just my two cents and BTW I promise you I am not affiliated with this breed in any way. Just an outsider's opinion.

The name Carlin Pinscher is a specific effort to distance the dog from just being a "mini-rottweiler"/ fad breed and the animals are being carefully selected for favorable traits and being bred multi-generationally with real progress, rather than just being hybrids like Cockapoos or Labradoodles. The breeders seem to pay careful attention to their dogs and not just breed anything that comes along.
A lot of breeding experiments are irresponsible, but not all new breeds are bad.

I would normally agree with you, as I hate irresponsible mutt breeders and especially the modern "designer" (mutt) "oos" and "oodles," but I have seen the Carlin pinscher websites and it seems like these breeders are actually being pretty responsible and trying to develop a legitimate breed, not just cashing in on a fad.
i looked on your web site and i have to say it is a poor excuse for a proper "breeders" web page. there is not that much information on the breed, (health test, temperament, who is the right kind of owner for this dog, ect.) basically your whole site is dedicated to selling the dogs and on any good breeders web site that should only be a small part of it. these are just another fad in the dog world. if you must have them fine, but keep the rottie name out of it, its an insult to the breed.

@smb2395 Health testing is covered on the website, obviously you didn't read the entire website. We only breed with dogs that have been screened and passed as normal via CERF eye exams by a Canine Ophthalmologist, OFA xray for Legg Calves Perthes and OFA exam for subluxating patellas. P.S. I'd suggest that you clean your house rather than spend your time trying to critique something you have no expertise in - your house is a mess.

is this cross bred to make him small or is he just growing slowly?

they are a blend of other breeds to replicate the look of a small rottweiler - called a carlin pinscher.

Dear Rottiemamma, These dogs are in fact "marketed" as Carlin Pinschers. Something new is that scarey to you? New things are developed every day. I suppose you deem all those people years ago that developed the breeds that are here today "irresponsible". I don't like full sized Rottweilers so does that mean you are irresponsible? Weird correlation. Our servicemen fight and die everyday for our freedoms we have in this country. You dishonor them. Go spread your hate someplace else.
