  • Enjoyed very much the trumpet is especially delightful -- it's very difficult for the trumpet not to overshadow the singers and he did a great job! Keep on singing for the Lord! -- avraartist

  • @Avraartist Thanks for Your Comment.

  • for me just a bit disappointed about the speed of the soloist and the sound really not very good!! Trumpet and Pianist are very good. not very nice about the end. but so far the choir sounds not too bad!!!

  • Thanks for Your Comment.

  • just go to some other youtube "holy city",like

den helige stad(the holy city),richard crooks & even a small chinese choir from canada (from john kcyu),you can see the different, they are what we call really good.

  • I saw the above mentioned Videos Long time ago, I agree they are good.

However, I could not see any point that this interpretation deserves a comment "IT'S REALLY,REALLY NOT GOOD".

  • painfully slow. slides between notes

  • @Candubh good comment

  • Personally, I thought it was beautiful, soloist, trumpet, chorus and all! I LOVED IT!!!!

  • That SOLOIST is WAY TOO SLOW...and WEAK! BAD PERFORMANCE!

  • The soloist is too timid, the trumpet is tinny, the choir is too restrained.

This is a song of tragedy and loss of hope that goes on to a shout of triumph! Your guts should run cold at "The shadow of a cross arose" and you should want to punch the air during the final stanza!

  • Nice . anyone know where i can find the complete score of this piece including the trumpet score?

  • Five ***** This is beautiful - feel the Holy Spirit, as these beautiful people sing the praise of the Lord Jesus Christ!
