Mr. Mooney's boss, Mr. Cheever, has a nephew who he would like to enter the banking business. The nephew, Thomas (played by Frankie Avalon), really wants to go into show business. Instead he is placed in Mr. Mooney's hands to train in the bank.

When Lucy discovers that Thomas is a very talented singer, she concocts a plan for him to perform before a producer who is one of the bank's customers.
