Not likely to be anywhere. The Aptera company went out of business. But it shows that aerodynamics will play a major part in the MPG quest.
Aerodynamics makes it so that as little as 8 HP can power a car to over 70 MPH. Most of the energy needed to keep a car moving at speed is used to overcome air resistance. Less resistance= less need for gasoline.
Our cars of today, while more aerodynamic than the past, are still modeled after the horse and buggy just like the first cars.
