The Seven Network's 7HD channel breaks away from normal programming during early 2008 to air the short-lived late night panel show The Night Cap.
This clip features the 7HD startup/station announcement, a customised classification screen and the introduction to the show itself. I think this came from the very first episode.
I personally reckon they gave up too early on The Nightcap.
This was recorded off-air from Prime Television's HD channel, which is a plain relay (for lack of a better way to describe it) of 7HD and did carry a Prime|HD watermark for a while before it became watermark less.
and the NightCap (and another original comedy show which I don't recall its name) should have been on the main channel, I'm sure they are at least Australian made and they will rate if it did.

pity they didn't keep 7HD (as much as I like 7mate) they would have been better off if they aired Seven's best programmes in high definition at different times for catchup viewing, as well as other exclusive HD programmes. Also should be used for televising sports events (in HD of course) that cannot be shown on the main the channel. Nine should be the same. Instead all commercial HD channels are used for reruns, 90% not in HD which is a shame. 7HD & the original tenHD had the right idea.
