Marcos was bed-ridden when Ninoy came home. The people at the higher echelon were obviously the ones in-charge...who were the people at the corridors of power when the dictator was gravely ill?

Marcos baptized the conjugal dictatorship as the "New Society" operating under the aegis of Martial Law but this is merely a resort to semantics. Martial Law by any name is dictatorship and it becomes conjugal dictatorship when the rulers wife enjoys the priveleges. A long dark night for the Philippines : (
