youtube comments are probably a complete waste of time.
But I'd really like you to appreciate an artist who deserves respect whether you like his stuff or not.
A common misconception is that this kind of music (blues/roots/folk) is written to be sad or depressing. In fact people who have the blues, sing the blues as a form of release. An acknowledgement that we all go through hard times but continue to push on through.
So if you think he should cheer up, he's doing it in the best way I know of.

ohhh i love this song. used to play it heaps a few summers ago, feels good to be reconnected with it again! always thought Willy was an old man, can't believe that voice comes out of him. awesome!
