This is a guitar made entirely of stone. Eight strings, fanned fret design. 28"-30" scale. No sustain-effects, no compression, only a little distorsion.
Fretboard: Ebenholtz vith jumbofrets
Trussrod: Yes. Helps putting a pressure load on the neck. Stone doesn't like to be pulled.
The neck has a 5160 steel reinforcement.
The upperhorn also has a steel reinforcement so the shoulderstrap is bolted to the steelbar and not directly to the stone. The guitar is less brittle than it seems.

Does this have a truss rod? If so, does it do anything at all? LOL

Yes it does. It puts pressure on the backside of the neck. (Stone doesnt like tension). That is why I put the trussrod there. But it doesnt do any adjusting at all.

that's incredible, man. is the entire thing made of stone or are there still wood components?

The fretboard is made of wood :-( . But the next pair will have fretboards made of stone.

sadface indeed. though how much stone can you get away with on a guitar? I would wager that a stone bridge, frets and nut could be potentially problematic. Oh, and i'm guessing the neck is neck thru, then?

A stone bridge is do-able. Frets too, but they will not last as long as regular frets. Nut is easy to make. The neck is "neck-thru". Visit my photobucket site. I am komorok there as well.

No but it'll crack/break if there's too much tension to one side.

just shows that no matter what the guitar is made of, any tone is achievable by all guitars....so long as u get the right amp and or pedals....mahagony, basswood, ash,etc...its all just personal preference... just like that lucky charm u keep to give you that feel good feeling...
