Rekonstrukcija predstave Pupilija, papa Pupilo pa Pupilčki današnjemu gledalcu ne prinaša samo duha časa s konca 60. let, saj ne gre za obujanje in muzejsko rekonstruiranje nekega minulega dogodka, ampak za preizpraševanje vpisa zgodovinskega dogodka v današnji čas, ko sta upor in eksperiment otopela in izrinjena na margino družbenega in kulturnega dogajanja oziroma na kratko pripuščena v širšo javnost kot hitro prebavljeni medijski škandal. O Pupiliji se je veliko govorilo, vseeno pa je to del slovenske gledališke zgodovine, ki figurira le kot kuriozum.

Rekonstrukcija predstave, ki je prepojena z duhom eksperimenta in uporništva, je že sama eksperiment, saj v Sloveniji ne poznamo rekonstrukcij gledaliških predstav. Poudarek je tako na gledališki govorici kakor tudi na njeni kontekstualizaciji in rekontekstualizaciji. Predstava je opremljena s pogovori in posegi članov izvirne zasedbe ter reprodukcijami odmevov nanjo. Izpostavlja postopke, ki so jih uporabljali pri izvirni predstavi, pri čemer je osredotočena na njeno odprtost in neformaliziranost. Za rekonstruktorje je še posebno zanimivo, kako ponovno uprizoriti naslednje elemente:
- vsakdanjost in neveščinskost
- nespektakularnost in skrajnost izvedbe
- svobodno improvizacijo ter folklorno in vojaško disciplino
- kolektivni um in neumnost
- odprt, neestetiziran in nelinearen jezik in politično angažiranost

The reconstruction of the performance, which is impregnated with the spirit of experiment and resistance, is itself an experiment, since reconstructions of performances are not common in Slovenia. The emphasis is thus on theatrical speech as well as on its contextualization and recontextualization. The performance is furnished with conversations and interventions by the original cast and also with reproductions of the responses to it. It stresses the procedures used in the original performance, with the focus on openness and non-formality. The reconstructors put special interest in how to re-enact the following elements:
- commonness and unskilfulness
- non-spectacularity and extremity of execution
- open improvisation and folklore and military discipline
- collective mind and mindlessness
- open, non-aestheticized and non-linear language and political engagement.
