not dissing your playing; you got some good chops. however, PLEASE ditch the DS-1.... seriously, i have yet to find a setting on mine where it sounds pleasant to the ear... honestly, even the distortion built into your cheap solid-state marshall probably sounds less crappy than the DS-1... ever heard of the MXR Custom Badass 78 Distortion? Or the Way Huge Green Rhino?? For around $100 there isn't a better sounding pedal than those dist/od pedals....

@EllStock Well I'm not the best one about guitars and all that stuff, but if I was you i would get a Gibson SG becuase they are so cool and I think every guitar player would like to have a gibson if don't already has one. so I think you should buy a Gibson SG. but it's all up to you and your choise! :D :)
