Okay... I only watched part of this video because I just didn't think it was necessarily to watch the rest, but.. for those of you who don't know, I have been having a conversation with him, (darkbunnylord) me being a Christian, but I have to agree with him on this. Atheists don't secretly believe in God, they just flat out don't believe.

@nightofflames101 Yes not all theists use this argument (in fact most don't from what I've experienced) and you're a good example of that. I appreciate that you, despite some of our disagreements, can agree on that and call out the claim for what it is (bs), much as I would do to a fellow Atheist should I see them using a fallacy in a debate. It's an important thing to because it gives ones side more reliability when it's own takers are willing to self critique instead of just go with the flow.

I think this belief by theists stems from a fear that anyone could live without god. I think the thought scares them because a person without god challenges the supremacy of their deity. That may also be why they are so eager to announce, "You aren't an atheist, you're agnostic!"

@ottotechnica The youtuber DarkMatter2525 actually did a video giving a fairly probably explanation as to why believers get offended when you tell them you don't believe in their God. He said that many peoples God they believed in was different than those of the same faith, and this was because people like to impress their own moral views and wants upon their belief and that when you questioned it they get offended because you are, technically, questioning them. An interesting thought certainly.

typical chrisitans saying atheists secretly believe in "there own god" it cant be any other god its there god. because to them only there god exists. idk about you all. that alone proves how full of shit they really are.

The reasons atheists have for rejecting faith in any god just make too much damn sense. Theists need to set up their own strawmen to knock down, such as having a secret belief, because they lack any evidence or logical rebuttals to the arguments that we actually make.
