Great looking Capri, but a Ford should have a Ford engine IMO. A stroked out small block Ford would put on 400hp on regular gasoline(yes, I'm American). GM sold that silly 3.5L alloy V-8 because it was too small and too fragile for the U.S. in a growing mid-sized car market(in the early 60's). Takes too much effort to get a solid 300hp. A run of the mill 302 Ford with alloy heads & a mild cam gives that easily with much more torque. Maybe Dallaglio wouldn't have sold it if it had the proper V-8

I take it it's a 3.5 litre Rover V8.... Not really given much of a rebuild if it's only pushing 190bhp. You can easily stretch it to 4.2 litre and get a reliable 270bhp without much of a diversion from standard spec.
Oh well, if the bloke sold it anyway, clearly he wasn't that impressed either.

190 bhp....ppppht, i get that from my 1.4 citroen engine.....give it 6 months it will be full of rust spiders, mig welded rough arsed shite...all for tv, from the same knobs who think putting 6 inch spacers on standard bmw hubs is safe.....all looks no go...end of
