@jellyz100 kbps =kilo bits per second, KB/s = kilo bytes per second. Its not a co-incidence that in each case the bits figure is exactly eight times the bytes figure!!!
A 45 minutes HD tv show (at say 3Mbits/s encode?) would take a dam site more than 12 secondseven at 40Mbits/s (do the maths!)
@MrNashenden ha that's what i thought at first but that's not the case. if you can show me an actual video of you downloading something at 30mb/s (not an internet speed checker) or close to that then you actually have internet that quick. pretty sure the large number is just the amount of data transferred while the figures in the brackets are your actual transfer speeds. do you actually download 45min hd quality tv shows in 12 seconds?
Hi, which part of the country do you live in (without being too specific, of course)? I'd love to get BT infinity but living in a village in the middle of nowhere probably means it'll be years before we get that option. My fastest ever speed was 3.1 a few days ago.
@FMC19 I have BT infinity and I 'm very happy ,
. Is simply the best internet I ever had in my life

@ajs41 Current speed has little bearing without knowing if a) your exchange is being upgraded and b) where your nearest roadside cab is. Try

@jellyz100 I think you are confusing your megabits with your megabytes!
