  • I would love to date a black man who isn't about all the stupid games and nonsense, but in the black community I'm nearly finding it impossible. We blacks always hate on each other too damn much too. It's so childish and immature!

  • @UneekM8ker07 I agree with you whole heatedly. Why is it that black gays chill out as they get older...it's true, age settles all that hot blood.

  • I'm enduring one of the hardest struggles too, 4 of them to be exact. (1) I'm black, (2) I'm a male, (3) I'm gay, and (4) I'm awkward. Life has definitely not been easy for me. The saddest part is that majority of the people who gave me the hardest time were black people! How crazy is that? Black people are part of the reason why I'm sometimes find myself wrapped in my own insecurities. If you don't look a certain way in the black LGBT community, then you're undesirable.

  • @UneekM8ker07 you are so right and in the black community all of that is a CROCK OF SHIT! people need to know that superficial things are like clothing trends...in one day, and out the next. Our people need to learn how to be themselves. Not everyone is oppressing them, they can reach out and experience new things. You'll be alright babes. Have some confidence and never stop approaching men that interest you. after while, they will bite... the beautiful ones are lonely too...

  • @Frenchrico You are very right about what you said about location. Where I live, the inner city is where successful people tend to live. There are lots of businesses and high end properties. it's not so much the ghetto. In the surrounding areas tend to be more urban, and yes..more blacks tend to live in these areas. I wasn't trying to make this a black and white issue at all, but the gay experience differs from race to race.

  • @AmorMuse Yes I know, we have the same here in what I guess you call "inner cities" (and in some cases they're almost ghettos too). In most of those places it's already difficult to be a girl, so I can't imagine the kind of nightmare gays must live there.

  • @Frenchrico I totally agree with you, but you just confirmed my point even more... blacks have different surroundings, upbringings, and local culture. It's WAY different in the inner cities and ghettos.

  • I don't think being a "caucasian gay" is any easier than being a "black gay". At least it's not for me.

It's more a question of surroundings, upbringing and local culture.

  • @mahogonyayisien black men can not handle being gay. it's crazy. their are so many sanctions imposed upon us by our own people. I am so very glad that I was raised around other cultures because it gives me the ability to think outside of the box.Coming from a family where all of my uncles and aunts are gay and lesbian, a total of four gays that came before me,my road should not be made hell. They didn't accept or love themselves.I had to step outside of them and learn to love me in spite of them.

  • @mahogonyayisien Not everyone needs to know that you are gay, but i what I am saying is even as I was raised around Caucasian men, they too need to be the men that I date. Their upbringings are different. It's okay to be a white gay male. Most people assume white gay men have money and security so it's okay for them to be who they are. In the black home,we are taught that we have strikes against us,one being black, two being male, and three being gay. I am sick of hearing this ridiculous jargon.
