За небокрай, де є Вирій світлий,

If the Ukrainian language is to survive it must flourish in all contemporary genres of music and not just limited to old folk music or to the village as centuries of russification has done.Only this way can russification be reversed and our ridna mova have its proper place in its own ridniy krai.

@molnia88 the real "RUS" is not "Slavic", but scandinavic Normanns came from northern Svenska and Norge.. A splitted tribe... they traveled thru ukrainiy to Rossiya. Kiyev or Kiev was once a "RUS" village! .

The REAL "Russian" ... is a descendant of the "RUS" tribe like my gradmother! The "RUS" is not what you expect to be, and before commenting back.. track your sources when you find the opposite. The real "RUS" descents from the most north of europa, "RUS" means Normann in Suomi, the name was given by finnish people to the tribe that is pure Northern, unlike real western-ukrainians..

Your "Ridna Mova" is a synthetic hybrid of the several dialects spoken all over the Ukraine, It is alien to Central Ukrainians (ex-Malorossians), Eastern Ukrainians (Ex-Novorossians), Western Ukrainians (Polish Wannabes), and Carpathian Ukrainians (Rusyns) alike. Most Ukrainian folk songs are in the Malorossian dialect, which, mind you, is closer to Russian than it is to that synthetic "Ridna mova".
