It was like a family reunion when The Duchess of Cornwall visited Enfield in North London. She was accompanied by former husband Andrew Parker-Bowles and daughter Laura as she opened the Gardens at Myddleton House after a major restoration. Sun snapper and friend Arthur Edwards took center stage as she arrived and kept the Lord Lieutenant waiting.

The Duchess of Cornwall officially opened the Victorian Kitchen Garden and the new Visitor Centre at Myddelton House Gardens in Bulls Cross Enfield England.

Her Royal Highness was taken on a tour of the Gardens, guided by the specialists who have played an integral role in the restoration. The two year Heritage Lottery Funded project saw the Kitchen Garden restored and open to the public.

The Duchess met the garden staff, volunteers and individuals key to the the project.

The restoration focuses on the life and work of one of the Victorian era's greatest self-taught gardeners and botanists, Edward Augustus Bowles Brigadier Andrew Parker-Bowles' great-great uncle,

The Duchesses visit celebrates returning the Gardens to their former Victorian glory.
