I saw he Magicians in the sixties at a small club in copley square. I think the club was called "Paris" (not positive). I bought their singles "Invitation to Cry" and "Angel on the Corner". I believe they stems from NYC. I also saw the Everly Bros at the same club. Those were the days I'll tell ya I had more spring in my step than I could ever have used! Now I just watch my step LOL
Saw the Magicians play at the Unicorn Coffe House in Boston when WBCN was broadcasting part time from their back room. they really epitomized the Blue-eyed soul sound.
i loved these guys! i heard them ONCE on a CT college radio station--then there was nothing. i heard the Mammas and the Papas for the first time on that Danbury station, too.
@Rogers6StringSongs Ah yes later of Jake and The Family Jewels, I remember him I wound up in the Early 1980's actuall working out next to him at the 23rd street YMCA and talked about the old crazy Village days ofThe 1960's
