Skyrim Vampirism - Become a Vampire

This video shows how to become a vampire in Skyrim by contracting Sanguinare Vampiris and letting it evolve into Vampirism. Vampirism has four stages, each having different impacts on your character and unlocking different abilities. At Stage Four, vampires are attacked on sight. You must feed on sleeping NPC's in order to prevent this from happening.

Vampires appear to be weak and the bonuses given do not seem that amazing at first. However, becoming a vampire flags your character as undead. This allows the Restoration perk Necromage to affect you, making this combination the most powerful legit build possible. See these guides on utilizing Necromage:

To tell the truth vamps,unlike lycans,don't have much pluses.

Though the appearance change on Nords is so awesome that i made one just to play as a vampire.Also,you can balance the vampire's weaknesses (sort of),if you use the lady stone and enchant your gear with fire resistance,or use fire resistance oriented gear.

@sintesse - see my video on necromage vampire. the pluses are more than any other character improvement in the entire game. werewolves are by far the weaker choice.

Well,there aren't many choices apart from lycan/vamps to begin with.

lycan is better than a vamp on beast form as he pulls gigantic amounts of damage while transformed,problem is that he only has the benefits while in beast form. The vamp has the benefits (and the weaknesses) all the time.

if u were a dunmer or dark elf wouldn't that reduce the 100% fire immunity to 50%

Nice guide, vampires are the best ever -and we thought they were weak..., the bonuses are stunning-. I began a vamp at level 1 and she is just amazing. You can become a vampire even earlier, just after you escape Helgen, in less than a couple of minutes if you go to Haemar's Shame or North Shriekwind Bastion
