The first time I saw the Tubes was at UCSC back in the early/mid '70's. The blew my mind that night. Afterwards I still wasn't sure just what the hell I had just seen. I see them every time they play in SoCal. Even with the new line up they're great. I would REALLY like to see the original line up again. They were so fuckin' good.

I've always seen them in small, cozy venues, like 300 folks, tops. Afterwards, the boys hang and smooze. Fee and Prairie Prince...just sitting at the bar for a couple of hours, chatting with anybody who wants to come by, signing t-shirts, pics and albums. No affectation, no attitude.
