NINA SIMONE: "MY WAY", 1971, when percussionist LEOPOLDO F. FLEMING started his 31 years off and on with NINA. To accompany NINA's interpretation of this song, LEOPOLDO got the idea and suggested that he played bongos double-time throughout the whole number, which became the arrangement ever since, with the smallest groups in duo of just her and him to like on this recording with enlarged complement of strings and choir.

@youngdrjung Which CD are you referring to? I have heard two versions of the song. This one here is from the album "Here Comes the Sun" and the other was from a compilation, but the last two minutes she sings over the orchestra instead of letting them play. Is there a third version I have never heard?
