If only you could still get a decent one for less than 10,000 pounds...

@paul4608 Its still true about losing 10,000 when you drive a brand new car off the lot, wonder how much fuel that could buy a Rolls? The point is that when compared to other second hand cars (and new ones), the Rolls offers far better VALUE FOR MONEY

I BET IT TAKES CORNERS LIKE A WARDROBE FULL OF QUENTINS OLD SUITS
-
CHEAP TO RUN WHAT PLANET IS HE ON IT COSTS AS MUCH AS RUNNING A OIL PLATFORM EVEN IN THEM DAYS NOW YOU WOULD NEED A BANKERS BONUS TO FILL THE TANK
-
@jml8841 He said that more than a decade afterward, when Shadows and T-Series Bentleys were less used cars and more classics.

I love the new Top Gear for it's "Pinball machine" theme but you can't beat car reviews like the old Top Gear did them.
-
@jml8841 I was thinking the same thing! One difference jumps out though, Quentin Wilson is testing 15-18 year old Rolls-Royces, James May was testing the same cars some 18 years later. An L-registered car is pushing 35 years old today! Good luck finding an original L car in immaculate condition today (it's tough but it can be done, just not for 6,995!)

Ah, got it.

@cawimmer430 RR used THM-400s for their Silver Shadows and Silver Spirits.

I believe the transmission came from BorgWarner, not GM.
Only problem is, if you live or work in a crowded city, no parkingspot is large enough.
And big chances a punk or an hippy scratches it.
It's a car build for nice people, but ended up in a not so nice world.
Such a shame.
