The first part of some Hammer basics. In case anyone doesn't know, Hammer is Valve's world editor. It can make maps for pretty much any Source game. But you need to buy a source game like TF2, CS:S or HL2:DM first.

  • when i hit enter after making my 'room' instead of changing it to the texture, in the main view window it becomes red blue green and yellow lines showing the dimensions...how can i fix that?

  • Hey Eleco. Just thought I'd mention, for anyone else who had troubles seeing the texture (the wireframe box in the Render window would change to yellow, but it was still black). In the upper left corner of the Render window, is the word "camera". Right-click on it nd select "3D textured polygons". Viola, you can now see your texture...

    -catch you later on the Crit server...IF ye cahn find the time in ye shedule , ya wee girrrl!!
