@caleb9608 well thank god my glock has a 33rd mag in it.

101? This is more like self defense special ed...
-
@gunforme i know, i watched this show where the criminal was high on a bunch of different drugs, it took nearly 30 9mm bullets to put him down
-
@frodo70444 That sounds good in theory, but the problem is I don't think my wife would like seeing a blood stained floor everyday. What me and some of my neighbors have done to help prevent criminals from even thinking about breaking in is get a ton of empty shotgun shells and dropping them all over the front and back yards. You see empty shotgun shells all over the place, you think: "This guy got a gun, fuck it, I ain't getting shot". And if that don't work, Mr Remington is there to greet them.

@centurion205 i wouldnt even mop it up or scrub the walls i would leave it exactly how it happend so that anybody that came to my house knows what it is

@lexmark136. Forget about buying regular hollow points. Look into Hornady's Critical Defense ammo. No I'm not a Hornady employee or anything, I've just been doing a ton of research (plus I work part time at a gun range), and Hornady is by far the #1 self defense bullet there is. It's reliable, accurate, and has nickel plated shells instead of cheap steel or low grade brass. I've shot about 200 rounds, not 1 misfire/misfeed. It ain't cheap, but my family is worth having the best ammo.

@centurion205 yeah I sorta changed my mind within the month..haha. I got 00 buckshot loaded in my side saddle... but only because I cant find any damn 9mm hollowpoints around here.

@Greenmarine6 I wholeheartedly agree. Kill him, end it right there and then. If using buckshot though, 1 well placed shot is all you need. The last thing we need is more criminals having it easy in prision. 3 meals a day, clothed, bathed, given free medical treatment, and all at the expense of us taxpayers. Here's what I say: "You break into my home, you'd better have yourself a plot of dirt ready to be buried in, cause that's where you're headed. My friend Mr. Remington will see to that."
@patriot91101rip. No disrespect to you, but I feel sorry for you. My sister goes to Boston College, and she tells me it sticks up there for self defense. She can't wait to come back. You outta move to Texas. In Texas, you break into my home, I DO have the right to defend myself, my family, and my property, and I WILL KILL YOU ON SIGHT! It's called the Castle Doctrine, and God bless that we have it. That's why our prison's aren't as crowded as Califonia, New York, or many other states.

No offense but it isn't the same effect if the intruder is high on meth, crack, pcp, etc. I'm sure you've heard all the horror stories of criminals not going down despite several live rounds center mass. Why take a chance with bean bags, rock salt, etc. Life is too short and if the criminal illegally enters a persons home, he should be shot dead. Some situations call for less force, if any at all, but when it's in your home, ensure the safety of your family and put the criminal down.
