Chuck Collier RIP

Few radio personalities spend four decades in one city...but Chuck Collier did! He began in 1970 on 50,000 watt AM station 1220 WGAR along with an unknown by the name of Don Imus. Chuck was beloved by radio listeners along Ohio's north coast. I was proud to call him a friend. He did afternoons on WGAR-FM 99.5 in Cleveland and mid-days on oldies WMJI Majic 105.7 and he WILL be missed.

Just glad I had the footage and could put this together in Chuck's memory. I actually remember him on the big 1220 WGAR-AM. He was good then...and right up to the end, which came way too soon. Miss ya Big Guy.

Cleveland was so lucky to have Chuck! I consider myself lucky to have met and conversed with him on several occasions. they dont come much sweeter than Chuck. A huge void in the hearts of country music fans today in Cleveland.
