More of an editing exercise than out else,

  • Hey there , haha im not joking , ive watched everyone of our vids & i cant say how much i enjoy them. Im a Motorcycle mechanic aswell but have never sadly worked on a Triumph!. Your vids for me are a great teaching tool & i love ur common sence.

  • @bubster1981

    Cheers bubster :-) thank you,

Mechanicing gets in the blood I love engines, any engines, I love the simplicity of the old stuff, my Bonnie is a joy to work on and ride....namely ride

and just about everything is fixable as these things where made when

common sense an simplicity seemed to be the norm.

  • As I have the sense of direction of a goldfish my motto is "follow the front wheel" All roads are connected somewhere so just keep on riding. My usual mumblings are "should I have turned off at the other exit" or "I'm sure I don't recognise any of this"

Ah well never mind as you said you find great new roads that way. Dave

  • @notwocdivad

Hi Dave :-) "Whoops! I missed this post" ,-D

Even a goldfish ends up where it came from lol

half the time the Bonnie takes me for the ride, I just tag along and enjoy

the "where am I" problem starts on the return journey, when its my turn :-D

  • Hi John, You must have had editing lessons to do such a pro job on this, and for that matter all,of your vids. The videos run as smoothly as your Trumpet. I do like the occasional subtitles you put in Like " Ooops I missed the turn again" and such. Over the winter I think I will start at the first vid of yours I can find and watch them all again , Classic entertainment. Hope you never stop posting. Cheers mate Dave

  • @notwocdivad

    Hi Dave :-)

hours of clicking to see what happens are my lessons :-D

I went through about 10hrs of vid to get this 15min

I also have loads of unused footage to sort out (namely rides)

so my posting won't stop yet!

"Ooops! missed it" sounds like the Moffat run:-D I have found some great roads by missing my turn off's.

  • Nice vieo, makes me want to do a similar rebuild on my 1976 T140V. I'm getten on in years and I seem to lack the conviction of my youth when it comes to working on my Triumph.

I never have let any mechanic do any work as I alway's did everything my self. Time to be brave (I'm almost 62) and do the rebuild this spring. I have all the spare parts except new rings and I need a new valve grinder as well.

  • i enjoyed that.

  • @srcheney

    Hi srceney :-) thanks

the sound of the trusty trumpy takes some beating.

  • Nice vid John, I like the music too, but the best sounds come from the engine.

  • @pictgroove4

    Hi pict :-)

I could rebuild the motor in less time than it takes to edit

its warmer doing the vid though this weather Brrrr!

I will pass on your compliments with pleasure

    check out solarbear records.

I can't wait to see the new bike "kettle's on" :-)

  • Nice work my friend, there's a lot of editing and such in that! Must have taken ages to pick the footage, and I'm sure you only post a fraction of what you shoot - , and only scratches the surface of what you've posted on here. Very enjoyable.

My Exit Music seems to fit wherever you put it, my complements to your mate Andy and his band. Superb.

I should have a new bike soon (I'll surprise you), as soon as I do, I'll try to get down to Lunmad HQ for a cuppa.

    ATB

    :-pict

  • @gremmann

    thank you gremmann :-)

I wish I'd had a didgy camera when I first got the bike, all that unrecorded stuff 25yrs worth :-(.

You have your bike and got the camera start taking pics the sooner the better,

they are great to look back on.

  • Lunmad, always look forward to your videos. As I've stated before I have an '08 Bonneville America and love it. But your videos make me, I should say give me inspiration to keep it forever. I go back periodically and look at past vids. Please keep them coming.

  • @roynexus6

    I will do roynexus6 :-)

I have just started number two, doing the clutch, forks and wheels and stuff.

  • @markybyeah

    Thanks Marky :-)

I tried to do some narration and dub it on but need a better mic......and a script! :-D

  • @MrGatohead

    Thanks MrGato :-)

"and for my next trick" :-D

  • @nemo1950

    Thanks nemo :-)
