You know, quite a number of years ago, before G. W. Bush and 9/11 etc., I mentioned to someone the mass-murder that occurred (and was still occurring) in East Timor, trying to get across the fact that the USA was heavily involved. Anyway -- this person said something to the nature that "in other countries, people don't have the same respect for life that we do," completely misunderstanding my point. And now we have the inevitable result of this ignorance, as shown in things like this video.
