Growing up in a single family home in Chicago, I was raised by my mother who instilled her hard work ethic and drive into my life. The characteristics she instilled would prove to be helpful to me both on and off the court.

I began my tennis career at the age of eleven on the south side of Chicago. Beginning in the NJTL (National Junior Tennis League) program and then into the Love To Serve and Education Foundation program. LaMont Bryant the founder and director of LTS became my long time coach and father figure.

I attended Morgan Park High School winning the city championship at the #1 position three of my four years.

Having the athleticism to play other sports I focused on tennis and my education; graduating with a 3.5 GPA.

After my high school tennis career I received a full tennis scholarship to Butler University, a

Division I institution in Indianapolis, IN. My win percentage was 85% in the singles and 90% in the doubles,

receiving the honor of MVP (most valuable) three of my four years. I am the first African American woman to be a member of Butler's tennis program and only the second African American in history.

Upon graduation with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, I was retained at the University as assistant coach for the women's tennis team. The tennis position at Butler allowed me to fulfill my life long dream of pursuing a professional career in tennis. I have been able to study the game at a greater level and continue to train at a high level with the team members." -From Tayo's Google Page

She's no where near a professional player...sorry! She's a low-grade Div.1 player..middle at best. Professional means you're part of the WTA circuit, have played challengers/ futures, etc. I know USTA female juniors who have more developed games and will beat this girl at "Love"!

um.... good, maybe. Professional means that you make your living by playing tennis. The fact that you went to college or university before you turned pro tells me that you aren't of the standard. Ya you are good.... but you are not professional. This was three years ago... you got an updated vid so we can see at least weather you have gotten A LOT better
