She didn´t CO-wrote it she write it 69´ and it came out as a single in 69´ only about 500 were printed and stones version was co-credited for her in 94 re-issue of sticky fingers...stones are great, i mean GREAT!
But that slide on sister morphine ain´t Taylor it´s Ry cooder and u know the rest....keith "ripped" the open g-tuning from him and they didn´t like eachother...Ry has said earlier that keef was ripping stuff from him but nowadays dont want to talk bout it...And marianne was hooked on cocaine ´69 not wasted ;-) Later 71 on Heroin and then downhill...sad
Sister morphine was a b-side of the mariannes single Something Better. And rock n roll circus didnt air on bbc 69´ The Stones withheld the film's release due to their poor performance...."i think its great" reason for not releasing the video was that The Who, who were fresh off a concert tour, upstaged the Stones on their own production. and blaa blaa blaaa
It was written and first rehearsed/recorded for "Beggar's Banquet" in '68, at least that's what recording session histories show (I think you can find that version here on Youtube), and they do also indicate that she did not write it alone. But it was shameful for the Stones not to give her a credit on the original "Sticky Fingers" release. Anyways, I wouldn't debate Comic Book Guy if I were you. :)
