  • Not all of Bundy's victims were brunettes. Janice Ott, Susan Rancourt, Lisa Levy and Nancy WIlcox were blondes. As is Karen Chandler, who survived Bundy's attack in Florida. But he did target girls with long hair parted in the middle.

  • Was the school project titled "Ted Bundy: What an Ass?"

  • You will find some more info about Carole Anne Boone in The Stranger Beside Me and also The Only Living Witness, the last one with interviews with him if you haven't already read it. Carole Anne did have a daughter with him who'd be in her mid twenties now, i kind of feel the most sorry for her, she must shudder thinking she bore him a child thinking he was innocent at the time, i can only imagine all the tales she could tell, i think she may have been an easy target being a single mother.

  • It's so weird how he knew how well he could manipulate women to be close friends with or lovers with so they could do him favours, but after Ann Rule wrote her book he commented to people who asked that she hardly knew him but yet they kept in touch and met up a few times and even wrote letters to each other. I even think his lawyer in his last years alive was falling for him. Haven't read her book yet i think her name was Polly Nelson , she wrote "Defending the Devil".

  • Thanks for the book recommendation, i will look it up. I can say this much, Bundy sure could manipulate people. About Carole Anne Boone, she was the one he used to work with for the fire dept. when he was still with Liz Kendall, they remained friends for years and i guess she decided to stick by him and believe in his innocence due to knowing him for so many years, just like Anne Rule, i guess they both saw the good him him at one point and couldn't believe he could be capable of such crimes.

  • @WillowKat100 Elizabeth Kendall had suspicions about Bundy being the killer in the news because she found casts for his arm in their apartment and he asked her to pretend to be dead while they were having sex & wanted to use hand cuffs. She reported her suspicions to the police. In her place I would have been afraid for my life & run away while the running was good.

  • @WillowKat100 I had read Ann Rule's book some time ago but "Carole Anne Boone " did not sound familiar at all. I found out. . and this gets good Elizabeth Kendall was his girlfriend at the time he was engaged in his killing spree & Carole Anne Boone married Bundy AFTER he was caught and in prison. There is some buzz that he fathered a child with Boone while on death row despite conjugal visitations not being allowed.

  • There's a great book about the Psychpath disorder: "The Mask of Sanity" written by Psychiatrist Hervey Cleckley that has gone out of print but is available on line for free. Just Google 'The Mask of Sanity" book online. It is quit interesting and an enjoyable read and explains the actions of Ted Bundy nicely.

  • @WillowKat100 I can feel sorry for him in knowing that he was not a well man. He had some sort of brain dysfunction the cause of which is not really understood. In a word he was a psychopath. Not all psychopaths become serial killers but almost all wreak havoc on those close to them. Many US politicians are considered to be psychopaths which explains much of the crisis that has occurred and is still now unfolding.

  • @loralieisa yes that's all true, that would explain the lack of planning part, i kind of feel sorry for him turning out that way (though more sorry for his victims), he could have had a pretty good life, he obviously wasn't lacking for people who cared for him, even near the end of his life, i've always wondered what happened to his wife Carole Anne Boone after she left him, poor lady probably needed therapy for years after she realised she was being conned too.

  • @loralieisa I guess it does describe him nicely if we never figured out what was wrong with him. I always learned he was a psychopath because of all his traits and him not feelings guilt, etc. Being a psychopath usually is passed down through genes I believe, so that could be possible too? Neurological on the other hand seems a bit different. Maybe it's just me. Thanks though.
