I had a '75 RD200 new ... boy was it quick. That beautiful 3rd gear just pulled and pulled for ever... Out-dragged a Norton Commando 859 easily... which was helpful as that is what the Police used back then! (days of no cameras!).
What a great bike! I had one of these, (the remains of it are still in the chicken shed). It was so well made and went like crazy - but bejesus it got thru juice. Those reed valves - what did they call them "torque induction" or something, but they worked really well (especially if you owned a petrol station)
