For those of you comparing Ed to Les Stroud, maybe you should pay attention. Les Stroud is a SURVIAL EXPERT. Ed is not. It says that in the start of the show. He is an outdoorsman, but not a survival expert. There is a big difference. Give the guy some credit. He did an amazing job. The solitude coupled with starvation would get to anyone. If you say it wouldn't then you're an idiot. So he cried. Hats off to him. I would rather see a man cry than one acting like an arrogant douche.

I thought it was amasing, I would be afraid of bears or ?? things that see me before i see them. I also believe if your starving you lose the ability to reason. And if your not a servival specialist you'll have to deal with the problem of finding/catching food in time. Hats of for Ed, and the fact that he didnt try to pretend being anything else but a human alone.

This is the most intense reality show i've ever seen. it's a show that gives a good name for reality shows with its beautiful concept on surviving in the wild, that takes a strong personality and heart to do it. 50 days!! Way to go Ed, your the man!!!

I think they should make a multi episode series where u have 5 or 6 of these survivalists video taping themselves living off the land,gathering food,building shelters in a sort of tribe if u will,for an extended period of time.

Be alot more interesting then watching this poor wanderer push himself to the grip of insanity over the course of three months.
