Kid Hit With Baseball Line Drive in Eye, Survives {Part 1}

This is from one of my friends who asked me to upload this for him. His son, Derek Bailer, was struck in the eye with a line drive at a baseball game that his father, my co-worker, took him to. He was hanging around after the game wanting to catch a foul ball, however was struck in the eye and the doctors said that he wouldn't make it. Not only might he lose his eye, but he could die. After an amazing surgery, Derek was able to see again after doing several practices to gain his eyesight back. Part 1 of 2

@knoxville504 ...I see that you don't understand what happened in this accident. The boy was walking in the aisle (50 feet from the family) when he was struck with the blow to the eye, (as he was raising his head). He didn't even see what struck him. He nearly died from this, and you come back with that? Instead, he gets some unique surgery.. that saved the eye, then went on to achieve GREAT things. Give the boy some credit!
