i have a 1960's and 1970's diesel that will start quicker than that after sitting for 5 years untouched and they have no glow plugs, one is a 2cyl 2 stroke diesels and the other is a case 4 cyl diesel, and there is a lot of things that you can do to that International engine to get a crap load more power out of it, right now they produce 260 hp and 680 ft lb tq for a 23,000 lb bus and they have the potential from stock to produce over 350 hp and over 900 ft lb tq, plenty to haul a ford around

Im actually rebuilding this exact truck. The floor rotted through. But its a 91 F250 Diesel with a manual transmission.
